«Bach-333»: Happy birthday, Genius!

«Bach-333» is one of the most special events of the upcoming KharkivMusicFest.

On the 333rd birthday of the world’s most famous composer his music will be played all over the city. This will include the most popular compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach played by the best soloists of Ukraine, children’s Bach marathon, performance of Bach compositions on piano, violin, oboe and organ costing €1 million in the most modern and acoustically-advanced Organ Hall of Ukraine – the Kharkiv Philharmonic Hall.

On this day his music will be played in lectures and music events on the radio and television. It will sound in the most unexpected places – in public transport, in shopping centers and even in Kharkiv’s cafes and bars, as it is known that Bach was an admirer of both coffee and beer. He often received remuneration for his work in the form of “beer buckets” and even wrote the famous “Coffee cantata” in support of coffee, when it was declared harmful for health!

This day Kharkiv will become the only city in Ukraine to participate in the worldwide event "Bach in the Subways". On March 21-25 musicians in many cities worldwide will play music of Bach in the subways. Ukraine will finally join this wonderful tradition.

The culmination of the “Bach-333” project will be the Gala Concert on March 21 in the Kharkiv Philharmonic Hall. Twenty best soloists from various cities of Ukraine will get together on this special occasion in order to create the KharkivMusicFest Festival Orchestra. It is a well-known European tradition founded by the famous conductors Arturo Toscanini and Claudio Abbado. The KharkivMusicFest Festival Orchestra will present concert program featuring the most famous compositions of J.S. Bach.

It is totally worth visiting Kharkiv on March 21 for this special occasion. Because life is a blessing with music of Bach!
